For a symplectic domain \(X\) in \(\mathbb{C}^k\), the authors consider the following questions: \begin{itemize} \item[Q1] Do there exist global symplectic coordinates for \(X\)? \item[Q2] Is the dual domain \(X^*\) a well-defined Kähler manifold? and, if it is the case, \item[Q3] What can be said about the symplectic capacity of \(X\) and \(X^*\)? \item[Q4] Is there a symplectic duality between \(X\) and \(X^*\)? \end{itemize} These four questions have a positive answer when \(X\) is a bounded symmetric domain. The goal of the paper is to investigate whether the answer remains positive in the case of a Cartan-Hartogs domain. For a bounded symmetric domain \(\Omega \) in \(\mathbb{C}^n\) and a positive number \(\mu \), one defines the Cartan-Hartogs domain in \(\mathbb{C}^{n+1}\) \[M_{\Omega ,\mu}=\{(z,w)\in \Omega \times \mathbb{C}\mid |w|^2<N_{\Omega }^{\mu }(z,\bar z)\},\] where \(N_{\Omega }(z,\bar z)\) is the generic norm for the Jordan triple system associated to \(\Omega \). On \(M_{\Omega ,\mu }\), one considers the Kähler form \(\omega _{\Omega ,\mu }\) with Kähler potential \[ \varphi _{\Omega ,\mu } (z,w;\bar z,\bar w) =-\log \bigl(N_{\Omega }^{\mu }(z,\bar z)-|w|^2\bigr). \] The dual domain \(M_{\Omega ,\mu }^*\) is defined as \(\mathbb{C}^{n+1}\) on which one considers the Kähler form \(\omega _{\Omega ,\mu }^*\) with Kähler potential \[ \varphi _{\Omega ,\mu }^*(z,w;\bar z,\bar w) =\log \bigl(N_{\Omega }^{\mu } (z,-\bar z)+|w|^2\bigr). \] When \(X\) is such a Cartan-Hartogs domain, seen as a symplectic domain in \(\mathbb{C}^{n+1}\), it is proven that the questions Q1, Q2, Q3 have a positive answer. However the question Q4 has a positive answer if and only if \(M_{\Omega ,\mu }\) is isomorphic to a complex hyperbolic space.
