The article studies a fractional magnetic Schrödinger equation with a nonlinear potential, \[ (\nabla^s + A)^2 u +a(x,u) = 0 \text{ in } \Omega, \] with the fractional magnetic operator defined as in [\textit{G. Covi}, Inverse Probl. 36, No. 4, Article ID 045004, 24 p. (2020; Zbl 1473.35500)]. For the forward problem the authors prove that there exists a solution for sufficienty small, smooth exterior data with compact support. For the inverse problem the article demonstrates uniqueness up to a gauge invariance from [loc. cit.], supposing two Dirichlet-to-Neumann maps agree on an open subset of the exterior of the domain for all suitable small exterior boundary values compactly supported on another open subset of the exterior. The proofs use a maximum principle, Runge approximation property and higher order linearization.
