The present paper is devoted to the Hausdorff dimension of certain sets whose elements defined in terms of Lüroth series expansions. Let \(x \in [0, 1)\) and \(\beta \in[0,1]\), let \([d_1(x), d_2(x), \dots]\) be its Lüroth expansion, and let \(\{p_n(x) /q_n (x)\}_{n \geq 1}\) be the sequence of convergents of \(x\). The main attention is given to the exceptional set \[ F_{\alpha}^{\beta} = \left\{x\in [0,1): \underset{n\to \infty}{\lim \operatorname{inf}} \frac{\log{d}_{n+1}(x)}{-\log \left|x-\frac{p_n(x)}{q_n(x)}\right|}=\alpha, \; \underset{n\to \infty}{\lim\sup} \frac{\log{d}_{n+1}(x)}{-\log \left|x-\frac{p_n(x)}{q_n(x)}\right|}\geq \beta \right\}. \] It is proven that its Hausdorff dimension is \((1 - \beta)/2\) or \(1 - \beta\) according to \(\alpha > 0\) or \(\alpha = 0\). It is noted that properties of digits is a fundamental and important problem in the study of Lüroth expansions. Brief descriptions of such investigations, of the main auxiliary notions, and of properties of the Lüroth expansion, are given.
