Let \(\phi\) be a \(3\)-dimensional Artin representation of Gal(\(\bar{\mathbb{Q}}, \mathbb{Q})\), \(c\) the complex conjugation and \(p\) be the dimension of the \((+1)\)-eigenspace for \(\phi(c)\). Denote by \(L(s, \phi)\) \((\text{resp. } \Lambda(s,\phi))\) the Artin \(L\)-function \((\text{resp}.\) completed Artin \(L\)-function) associated to \(\phi\), and by \(\zeta(s)\) \((\text{resp. } \xi(s))\) the Riemann zeta function \((\mbox{resp}.\) completed Riemann zeta function). In the paper under review, the authors show that if \(p\geq 1\) and \(L(s, \phi)\) is primitive, then \(\Lambda(s,\phi)/\xi(s)\) has infinitely many poles. It important to mention that it is not required for the proof the conjectural automorphy of Artin \(L\)-functions, only their established meromorphic continuation and functional equation.
