The theory of quasiregular mappings is the result of the pioneering work of Yu. G. Reshetnyak, O. Martio, S. Rickman, J. Väisälä and their students which started half a century ago. Many researchers have contributed to this theory which, from the very beginning of the theory, has had connections to several topics of analysis and geometry: Sobolev spaces, PDEs, calculus of variations, differential geometry. For instance, during the past twenty years mappings of finite distortion have been studied by G. J. Martin, T. Iwaniec, K. Astala, and, in particular, by P. Koskela and his coauthors. This paper, rich of content, studies this theory for mappings between manifolds with particular focus on quasiregular curves and their Hölder continuity.
