As a continuation of the studies of exceptional surgeries on chain links in the 3-sphere, in this paper, the author gives classification results for the minimally twisted chain links with six and seven components. Here a Dehn surgery on a hyperbolic link is called exceptional if it yields a non-hyperbolic manifold. The complement of the minimally twisted chain link with three components is called the magic manifold, for it generates a variety of interesting exceptional surgeries. The exceptional surgeries on the magic manifold were completely determined by the present author and \textit{C. Petronio} [Commun. Anal. Geom. 14, No. 5, 969--1026 (2006; Zbl 1118.57018)]. After that, by computer-aided but rigorous computations, the exceptional surgeries on the minimally twisted five-chain links were completely classified and described by \textit{B. Martelli} et al. [ibid. 22, No. 4, 689--735 (2014; Zbl 1307.57009)]. (The paper under review contains some corrections of the tables give in the paper.) The arguments of the paper under review lie on the same line as this.
