In this paper, the authors give an affirmative answer to the conjecture that a complex \(E\) in a locally \(\lambda\)-presentable Grothendieck category \(\mathcal A\) is \(\lambda\)-pure acyclic if and only if any chain map \(f\colon X \to E\) from a complex \(X\) of \(\lambda\)-pure projective objects in \(\mathcal A\) to \(E\) is null-homotopic, where \(\lambda\) is an infinite regular cardinal.
