The authors consider the problem \[ \begin{cases} -\Delta_{p(x)} u - \mu \Delta_{q(x)} u =\lambda f(x,u,\nabla u)\text{ in }\Omega,\\ u =0\text{ on }\partial\Omega,\end{cases}\tag{1} \] where \(\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^{N} \) (\(N \geq 2)\) is a bounded domain with smooth boundary, \(\lambda >0\), \(\mu \geq 0\) are parameters and \(p,q \in C(\overline{\Omega})\) are functions satisfying certain conditions. By means of topological arguments existence and uniqueness results are obtained for the above problem under suitable hypotheses. Moreover, also some properties of the solution set are considered regarding the parameters of the problem.
