In modular representation theory of finite groups one of the most interesting and important problems/questions is giving a complete list of all indecomposable modules over the \(p\)-blocks of finite groups up to Morita equivalence. In most cases, however, it is impossible to do it because blocks of finite-representation type and tame-representation type can occur only in restricted situations. Thanks to \textit{V. M. Bondarenko} and \textit{Ju. A. Drozd} [Zap. Nauchn. Semin. Leningr. Otd. Mat. Inst. Steklova 71, 24--41 (1977; Zbl 0429.16026)] it is known that a \(p\)-block (where \(p\) is a prime) of a finite group with defect group \(D\) is of tame representation type if and only if \(p=2\) (hence \(D\) is a \(2\)-group) and \(D\) is dihedral (can be the Klein Four group), generalised quaternion or semi-dihedral. Celebrated initiated work [\textit{K. Erdmann}, Blocks of tame representation type and related algebras. Berlin etc.: Springer-Verlag (1990; Zbl 0696.20001)] gives big impact on the subject. She gives a list of all possible tame blocks up to Morita equivalence. In the paper under review, the author excludes some classes in Erdman's list where tame blocks of finite groups in fact cannot occur (recall that her cases are not necessarily tame blocks of finite groups but also general finite-dimensional symmetric algebras over a field though). Especially Remark 2.5 in the paper under review gives the researchers a big relief, and further \S6 on (so-called) 'semidihedral class \(SD(2\mathcal B)_1\)' is quite interesting, where the author proves that this case actually cannot occur for blocks of finite groups. Therefore, the author eventually gives a complete list of the classification of the Morita equivalence classes of blocks of finite groups for the case where \(D\) is dihedral depending on the classification of finite simple groups (and also \texttt{GAP} and \texttt{Magma}). The other two cases, namely generalised quaternion and semidihedral classes are still under consideration.
