Let \(F:I \rightarrow I\) be a continued fraction map of slow type with full branches in the extended Hecke group \(\Gamma_m^\pm\) where \(I\) is an interval. The author's main result is that the domain of the natural extension of \(F\) is of the form \(I \times K\) where \(K\), the attractor of the iterated function system determined by the inverse branches of \(F\), contains a dense set of intervals. It is shown that this iterated function system satisfies the strong open set condition which implies the existence of the dual of \(F\), whose domain contains intervals too. This is done by constructing a homeomorphism \(M_m\) for every \(m = 3, 4, 5, \dots\) that simultaneously linearizes all slow maps with branches in \(\Gamma_m^\pm\). Furthermore, the author computes the Hölder exponent of \(M_m\), generalizing a result of \textit{R. Salem} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 53, 427--439 (1943; Zbl 0060.13709)] when \(m=3\).
