The authors study the following question: Given a compact Riemannian manifold \((M, g)\) of dimension \(m\ge 3\) with boundary, is there a Riemannian metric, conformal to \(g\), with zero scalar curvature and constant boundary mean curvature ? Here, they consider the product of a closed Riemannian manifold of zero scalar curvature with a compact Riemannian manifold with boundary, having zero scalar curvature and constant mean curvature of the boundary. They use some results from the bifurcation theory to prove the existence of an infinite number of conformal classes with at least two non-homothetic Riemannian metrics of zero scalar curvature and constant mean curvature on the boundary of the product manifold.
