Periods and \((\chi,b)\)-factors of cuspidal automorphic forms of metaplectic groups (Q2167499)

Let \(\sigma\) denote an irreducible genuine cuspidal automorphic representation of the metaplectic group and let \(\chi\) stand for a quadratic automorphic character of \(\mathbb{A}^{\times}\). We denote by \(\phi_{\psi}(\sigma)\) the \(A\)-parameter of \(\sigma\) with respect of \(\psi\). In the paper under the review, the author obtains constraints on the existence of the \((\chi, b)\)-factors in the global \(A\)-parameter \(\psi(\sigma)\) in terms of the lowest occurrence of \(\sigma\) in the theta correspondence to all Witt towers associated to \(\chi\). A relation between the first occurrence index and the non-vanishing of period integrals of residues of Eisenstein series associated to cuspidal datum \(\chi \otimes \sigma\) is also provided.
