For a topological property \(P\) and a space \(X\), \(X\) is said to be \emph{cellular}-\(P\) if given any family \(\mathcal U\) of mutually disjoint non-empty open sets, there is a subspace \(A\) of \(X\) with property \(P\) which intersects every element of the family \(\mathcal U\). In this paper, three subclasses of the class of pseudocompact spaces are studied. The authors show that if \(X\) is a cellular-compact first countable Hausdorff space, then \(X\) is weakly Lindelöf, and there is a Tychonoff cellular-Lindelöf space whose product with a compact space is not cellular-Lindelöf, answering two open questions concerning cellular-compact spaces and cellular-Lindelöf spaces, cf. [\textit{V. V. Tkachuk} and \textit{R. G. Wilson}, Acta Math. Hung. 159, No. 2, 674--688 (2019; Zbl 1449.54033) and \textit{W.-F. Xuan} and \textit{Y.-K. Song}, Topology Appl. 266, Article ID 106861 12 p. (2019; Zbl 1431.54013)]. Also in this paper, the class of cellular-countably-compact spaces, that of cellular-sequentially-compact spaces and that of cellular-compact-metrizable spaces are introduced and investigated. It is shown that it is independent of ZFC whether or not a cellular-compact-metrizable linearly ordered space is metrizable.
