The authors study the following Cauchy problem for generalized thermoelastic plate equations \begin{align*} &u_{tt}+\mathcal{A}u-\mathcal{A}^\alpha v=0,\ v_t + \mathcal{A}^\alpha v-\mathcal{A}^\alpha u_t=0,\ x\in \mathbb{R}^n,\ t>0, \\ &(u,u_t,v)(0,x)=(u_0,u_1,v_0)(x),\ x\in \mathbb{R}^n, \end{align*} where \(\alpha\in [0,1]\) and \(\mathcal{A}=(-\Delta)^\sigma,\ \sigma \in [1,\infty).\) The decay properties and asymptotic profiles of solutions are investigated without any additional constraint conditions on initial data. In the case \(\alpha\in [0,1/3)\) the solutions can be estimated polynomially with regularity-loss. The effect of regularity-loss is lost when \(\alpha\in [1/3,1]\). The authors investigated a threshold \(\alpha=1/3\). They give also some applications on thermoelastic plate equations and More-Gibson-Thompson equation with friction.
