Let \(G\) be a group. A subgroup \(H\) of \(G\) is said \(\mathsf{SS}\)-permutable in \(G\) if \(H\) has a supplement \(K\) in \(G\) such that \(H\) permutes with every Sylow subgroup of \(K\). The group \(G\) is called an \(\mathsf{SST}\)-group if \(\mathsf{SS}\)-permutability is a transitive relation. The subgroup \(\Delta(G)\) of \(G\) is the intersection of all non-normal maximal subgroups of \(G\). The authors introduce the class of \(\mathsf{SST}_{2}\)-groups defined as the groups \(G\) for which \(G/\Delta(G)\) is an \(\mathsf{SST}\)-group. The paper under review is devoted to the study of finite and solvable \(\mathsf{SST}_{2}\)-groups.
