In the paper under the review, the author obtains a new finiteness result for algebraic automorphic representations of the group \(\mathrm{GL}_n\) over number fields. The author constructs an explicit sequence \((r(w))_{w \geq 0}\) such that, for a number field \(E\) with root discriminant less than \(r(w)\) and with ideal \(\mathcal{N}\) in the ring of integers of \(E\), there exists only finitely many cuspidal algebraic automorphic representations of \(\mathrm{GL}_n\) over \(E\), with \(n\) varying, having the conductor \(\mathcal{N}\) and with weights in the interval \(\{ 0, \ldots, w \}\). It is also shown that, assuming a version of the generalized Riemann hypothesis, \(r(w)\) can be replaced by \(8 \pi e^{- \psi(1+w)}\), where \(\psi\) denotes the classical digamma function. Especially, when \(E\) equals the field of the rational numbers and \(N\) denotes a positive integer, it follows that there are only finitely many cuspidal algebraic automorphic representations \(\pi\) of \(\mathrm{GL}_n\) over \(\mathbb{Q}\), with \(n\) varying, with conductor \(N\), such that the weights of \(\pi\) belong to the interval \(\{ 0, \ldots, 23 \}\).
