Solving nonlinear fractional differential equations has been an interesting topic of research due to the applications of those equations in science and engineering. Recently, many researchers and mathematicians are investigating new methods for solving those equations. For more research studies on this topic, we refer to [\textit{Q. Du}, Nonlocal modeling, analysis, and computation. Philadelphia, PA: Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) (2019; Zbl 1423.00007); \textit{T. Ghosh} et al., Anal. One of the most interesting topics of research is the investigation of the fixed point theory due to its various important applications in science, industry, technology, and engineering. The authors of this research article have successfully investigated the proposed fixed point theorems for some kinds of mixed monotone operators on a set \(P_{h,e}\) of order that is determined by the normal cone where the assumed mixed monotone operator, denoted by \(T\), is defined as: \(T: P_{h,e}\times P_{h,e}\rightarrow E\), where \(E\) is a real Banach space (see Theorem 3.1). The paper provides novel results for the existence and uniqueness of the solution in either set \(P_{h,e}\) or \(P_{h}\) to the nonlinear fractional two point boundary value problem formulated in the sense of Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative (see Equation \((1.1)\)), where two iterative sequences can be formulated to approximate the unique solution for problem \((1.1)\) for any given initial values. According to the authors, this research study has never been done before using fixed point theorems for some kinds of mixed monotone operators in the set \(P_{h,e}\) and there are no research studies on equation \((1.1)\) when \(a\) is not equal to zero. The authors conclude their paper with an example to support their obtained results.
