The control of a bidirectional converter is considered, and physical aspects are discussed. A time-varying sliding manifold is defined with a parameter chosen adaptively. A sliding mode control strategy is designed: convergence and stability properties are proved and numerical estimates of the region of attraction are considered. Simulation results are presented in detail.
