Limiting cases of Sobolev inequalities on stratified groups (Q2190654)

This paper discusses the critical Gagliardo-Nirenberg, Trudinger-type and Brezis-Gallouet-Wainger inequalities concerning the limiting cases of the embedding theorems for Sobolev spaces on stratified groups. As an application of the critical Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality, the authors obtain the existence of least energy solutions for nonlinear Schrödinger type equations. Further, the best constant in the critical Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality is investigated and this constant is expressed in variational form as well as in terms of the ground state solutions of the corresponding nonlinear subelliptic equations.
