A priori estimates for elliptic equations with reaction terms involving the function and its gradient (Q2200759)

The authors investigate the local and global properties of positive solutions of the equation \[-\Delta u=|u|^{p-1}u+M|\nabla u|^q,\leqno(1)\] in \(\Omega\setminus \{0\}\), where \(\Omega\) is an open subset of \(\mathbb{R}^N\) with \(0\in \Omega\), \(M\) is a real parameter, and \(p\) and \(q\) are exponents larger than \(1\). Some a priori estimates, and existence or non-existence of ground states for \((1)\) are also proved.
