The paper is devoted to the problem of histopolation with quadratic/linear rational splines of class \(C^2\). These splines have the property that they keep the sign of second derivative on the whole interval and, as follows, the histogram is strictly convex. The points of grid are chosen arbitrarily. The theory is verified by numerical examples.
