The area of graphs on arbitrary Carnot groups with sub-Lorentzian structure (Q2203442)

This paper contains a discussion of graph mappings in nilpotent Lie groups with sub-Lorentzian geometric structure. Such graph surfaces are a generalization of Euclidean graphs to the setting of contact mappings between appropriately structured nilpotent Lie groups. The area formula for the images of such graph mappings is given in terms of a sub-Lorentzian Jacobian. Several versions of the area formula are proven in this paper under different assumptions on the regularity of the graph mapping.
