Spectral triples, introduced by Alain Connes, provide a Noncommutative-Geometric model for Theoretical Physics. The article under review follows earlier work by the authors and Gianni Landi on twisted spectral triples, motivated by the discovery of the Higgs boson. In this work, the authors study the notion of real part of a spectral triple. First they generalise this notion to twisted spectral triples, and then they provide its explicit calculation. This calculation is illustrated in the case of the Standard Model. The paper is self-contained, as the authors provide a short review of earlier results on twisted spectral triples.
