The authors consider random systems generated by two piecewise linear increasing homeomorphisms \(f_{+}, f_{-}\) of the interval \([0,1]\), associated with probabilities \(p\) or \(1-p\) respectively, and piecewise affine orientation-preserving homeomorphisms of the circle with a common fixed point and satisfying the conditions from the paper [\textit{L. Alseda} and \textit{M. Misiurewicz}, Publ. Math. 58, 15--36 (2014; Zbl 1326.37016)]. Both these families of random systems are called Alseda-Misiurewicz (AM) systems. They admit a unique stationary measure \(\mu\) on [0,1] such that \(\mu(\{0,1\})=0\). In this paper, conditions under which this measure is equal to the Lebesgue measure are given. Further it is shown that for a class of AM systems with resonant boundary derivatives the measure \(\mu\) is singular and supported on an exceptional minimal set, which is a Cantor set of dimension smaller than one. The result is of particular interest in reference with the conjecture from [loc. cit.] stating that \(\mu\) is singular for typical parameters.
