The authors consider bisingular pseudo-differential operators \(P\) as the product of two manifolds \(M_1\times M_2\), defined as by \textit{L. Rodino} [Ann. Sc. Norm. Super. Pisa, Cl. Sci., IV. Ser. 2, 287--302 (1975; Zbl 0308.35081)]. In local coordinates, the respective symbols satisfy estimates of the type \[ \left| D^{\alpha_1}_{\eta_1} D^{\alpha_2}_{\eta_2} D^{\beta_1}_{x_1} D^{\beta_2}_{x_2} a(x_1, x_2,\eta_1,\eta_2)\right|\leq C_{\alpha_1,\alpha_2,\beta_1,\beta_2\langle\eta_1\rangle^{m_1-|\alpha_1|}\langle \eta_2\rangle^{m_2-|\alpha_2|}}, \] where \(x_1\), \(x_2\) represent two groups of variables and \(\eta_1\), \(\eta_2\) the respective dual variables. Here, the authors introduce an adapted notion of wave front set for a distribution \(u\) on \(M_1\times M_2\), denoted by \(WF_{bi}(u)\) and defined by a triplet, describing singularities at \(\eta_1=0\), at \(\eta_2=0\), and at the manifold \(\eta_1\neq 0\), \(\eta_2\neq 0\), respectively. They prove the microlocal property \[ WF_{bi}(Pu)\subset WF_{bi}(u). \] Taking into account the vectorial nature of the symbol, the authors define similarly the characteristic manifold \(\text{char}_{\mathrm{bi}}(P)\) and prove related micro-regularity results. In the final section, the authors compare the notion of \(WF_{bi}(u)\) with the \(SG\)-wave front set of \textit{S. Coriasco} and \textit{L. Maniccia} [Ann. Global Anal. Geom. 24, No. 4, 375--400 (2003; Zbl 1036.35154)].
