In 4-dimensional hyperbolic space ball and horoball packings are considered. The packings are invariant under the action of Coxeter groups that have Coxeter simplices as their fundamental domains. In the paper under review the authors consider only asymptotic Coxeter simplices, i.e. ones which have at least one ideal vertex. The density of a horoball packing is defined via the respective Coxeter simplex tiling. The authors give seven examples of horoball packings of asymptotic Coxeter simplex tilings with optimal density of 0.71644896\dots . This density is greater than the conjectured density upper bound due to \textit{L. Fejes Tóth} [Regular figures. Oxford etc.: Pergamon Press (1964; Zbl 0134.15705)]. The authors use the Cayley-Klein ball model and a projective interpretation of hyperbolic geometry.
