The authors study local and global well-posedness for the Hartree equation describing quantum systems with an infinite number of particles, such as Fermi gas, Bose and Boltzmann gases at positive temperatures, etc. The initial data are a perturbation of translation-invariant states. Besides the relative (free) energy and relative entropies the authors use Lieb-Thirring and Strichartz inequalities generalized in recent papers by R. L. Frank, M. Lewin, E. H. Lieb and R. Seiringer.
