In the Banach-Mazur game on a topological space \(A\), two players (\(\alpha\) and \(\beta\)) choose in turn sequences of non-empty open subsets of \(A\) in such a way that each is a nested sequence of the other. If the common intersection of the two sequences is not empty when \(\beta\) has the first move, then \(\alpha\) wins. We say that \(A\) is \(\alpha\)-favorable in case \(\alpha\) always has a winning strategy. Let \(C_p(X)\) denote the space of continuous real valued mappings on a compact space \(X\) with the topology of pointwise convergence. The work of \textit{P. S. Kenderov}, \textit{P. S. Kortesov} and \textit{W. B. Moors} [Topology Appl. 153, No.~14, 2745--2759 (2006; Zbl 1100.54014)] showed that the NQ property for \(X\) is equivalent to requiring that every quasi-continuous mapping from \(A\) into \(C_p(X)\) is norm continuous on some dense \(G_\delta\)-subset of \(A\). The aim of the present paper is to show, using this game theoretic formulation, that the NQ property is closed under arbitrary Cartesian products.
