Denoting by L(f) the set of all Lagrange interpolants based on knots in [0,1] of function f, the author shows that there are many analytic functions of the form \[ f(z)=\int_{{\mathbb{R}}}\frac{d\mu (t)}{1+tz},\quad z\in [0,1], \] where \(\mu\) is a finite signed measure, for which L(L(f)) is the set of all polynomials. Thus, the author answers two problems raised by \textit{A. L. Horwitz} and \textit{L. A. Rubel} [Rocky Mt. J. Math. 12, No.3, 645-653 (1988; Zbl 0683.41010)].
