One of the most important developments of the representation theory of quivers is its interaction with cluster algebras, introduced by \textit{S. Fomin} and \textit{A. Zelevinsky} [J. Am. Math. Soc. 15, No. 2, 497--529 (2002; Zbl 1021.16017); Invent. Math. 154, No. 1, 63--121 (2003; Zbl 1054.17024)] in connection with dual canonical bases and total positivity of semi-simple Lie groups. Following \textit{A. B. Buan} et al. [Compos. Math. 145, No. 4, 1035--1079 (2009; Zbl 1181.18006)], the authors call a \(2\)-Calabi-Yau triangulation category a \textit{cluster category} if its cluster tilting subcategories form a cluster structure. The main purpose of this paper is to show that the canonical orbit category of the bounded derived category of finite dimensional representations of a quiver without infinite paths of type \(\mathbb{A}^\infty\) or \(\mathbb{A}^\infty_\infty\) is a cluster category. For a cluster category of type \(\mathbb{A}^\infty_\infty\), a geometrical description of its cluster structure in terms of triangulations of an infinite strip with marked points in the plane is presented.
