    Let \(s\in [0,2)\) and consider the semilinear equation \[ |x|^{-s} \partial_t u - \Delta u = u \log{|u|}\ , \qquad t>0\ , \ x\in \Omega\ , \] supplemented with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions and an initial condition \(u_0\in H_0^1(\Omega)\), where \(\Omega \subset B_1(0)\) is a smooth bounded domain of \(\mathbb{R}^n\), \(n\ge 3\), and \(B_1(0)= \{ x\in\mathbb{R}^n\ :\ |x|<1 \}\). Introducing the functionals \[ J(v) = \frac{1}{2} \|\nabla v\|_2^2 + \frac{1}{4} \|u\|_2^2 - \frac{1}{2} \int_\Omega v^2 \log{|v|}\ dx\ , \quad I(v) = \|\nabla v\|_2^2 - \int_\Omega v^2 \log{|v|}\ dx \] defined for \(v\in H_0^1(\Omega)\) and setting \[ d = \inf\left\{ J(v)\ :\ v\in H_0^1(\Omega)\setminus\{0\}\ , \ I(v)=0 \right\}\ , \] the existence of a global solution \(u\in C([0,\infty);H_0^1(\Omega))\) to the Cauchy-Dirichlet problem is established when \(J(u_0)\le d\). Moreover, this solution belongs to \(L^\infty((0,\infty);H_0^1(\Omega))\) when \(I(u_0)\ge 0\) but is unbounded as \(t\to \infty\) in \(L^2(\Omega,|x|^{-s} dx)\) when \(I(u_0)<0\). The proof combines functional inequalities and energy estimates, along with properties of the functionals \(I\) and \(J\).
