The paper studies the two-locus-two-allele (TLTA) continuous time selection-recombination model from population genetics. The explicit parameter value ranges of the recombination rates and the selection coefficients are established for which the corresponding TLTA-model possesses a globally attracting invariant manifold. For the mentioned value ranges of system parameters it has been shown that the TLTA-model can be rewritten in the form of competitive system for a polyhedral cone that is a monotone system backwards in time.
