    The aim of the paper is twofold. First, the author constructs wavelet systems in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) adapted to Battle-Lemarié splines. They have compact supports and they are orthogonal (at different levels of scaling). The outcome is applied to related wavelet expansions of \(B^s_{p,q} (\mathbb{R}^n,w)\) and \(F^s_{p,q} (\mathbb{R}^n,w)\). Here, \(B^s_{p,q} (\mathbb{R}^n)\) and \(F^s_{p,q} (\mathbb{R}^n)\) with \(s\in \mathbb{R}\), \(0<p<\infty\) and \(0<q \le\infty\) are the nowadays classical function spaces and \(w\in A_\infty (\mathbb{R}^n)\) are Muckenhoupt weights.
