The Waldspurger correspondence is a correspondence of representations of \(\mathrm{PGL}(2)\) and \(\widetilde{\mathrm{SL}}_2\). Jacquet established a relative trace formula for this correspondence; \textit{E. M. Baruch} and \textit{Z. Mao} [Am. J. Math. 125, No. 2, 225--288 (2003; Zbl 1037.11034)] studied the local distribution identities for this relative trace formula over \(p\)-adic fields and the field of real numbers. This paper established the local distribution identity in the case of the field of complex numbers. The proof is based on an integral identity between Bessel functions previously established by \textit{Z. Qi} [Monatsh. Math. 186, No. 3, 471--479 (2018; Zbl 1394.42006)], which is an analogue over complex numbers of the classical identity of Hardy and Weber. The main task of the paper is to relate the local distribution identity to the identity between Bessel functions. The argument used improves upon that of Baruch-Mao.
