This work considers Schrödinger operators on \({\mathbb{R}}^3\), with a complex potential \(V\in L^{\frac{3}{2}}\cap L^2\). Such an operator is associated with a perturbation determinant -- a holomorphic function in the upper half of the complex plane, whose zeros are in one-to-one correspondence with the eigenvalues of the operator. Properties of this function are obtained, in particular the fact that it belongs to the Hardy space of bounded functions. A canonical factorization is obtained, leading to new trace formulas which include a term corresponding to a singular measure.
