The author proves some new general results on absolutely \(\varphi\)-summing operators. This class forms an operator ideal which based on the Orlicz space \(L_{\varphi}\), generalizing the concept of absolutely \(p\)-summing related to \(L_{p}\)-spaces. An analogue of the Pietsch domination theorem for these operators is proved. As application, the author gives an asymptotic estimate of \(\pi _{\varphi }\)-summing norms of finite-dimensional operators and diagonal operators between Banach sequence lattices for a class of Orlicz spaces based on exponential convex functions \(\varphi\). Finally, Theorem 5.9 gives an extension of a result in the case of the exponential Orlicz function. So, the operator \(T:\ell_{2}\to \ell _{2}\) is \(\varphi \)-summing if and only if \(T\) belongs to a suitable Schatten-von-Neumann class.
