The paper under review deals with the study of a class of parametric double phase problems with Dirichlet boundary condition. The reaction contains the combined effects of superlinear nonlinearities with a growth that need not necessarily be polynomial. The main result establishes the existence of two constant sign solutions, provided that the parameter is larger than the principal eigenvalue of the \(p\)-Laplace operator. The proof combines truncation and comparison methods. In the final part of this paper, the authors obtain \textit{a priori} estimates for solutions of a general class of double phase nonlinear equations with convection term.
