For a semiring \(S\) the Grothendieck group \(\text{SK}_0(S)\) based on its finitely generated strongly projective modules was recently introduced by work of \textit{Y. Katsov} et al. [J. Algebra 508, 157--195 (2018; Zbl 1440.16051)], in which a classification of ultramatricial algebras, i.e., direct limits of finite direct products of matrix semirings, over semifields in terms of the group \(\text{SK}_0\) was given. The present article continues this line of research in algebraic K-theory of semirings. In particular, the authors establish an analogous classification result for ultramatricial algebras over commutative semirings \(S\) in which \(a + b \in \{ a, b \}\) for all \(a, b \in S\). Moreover, it is shown that the isomorphism classes of those ultramatricial algebras that have a lattice-ordered group \(\text{SK}_0\) precisely correspond to the isomorphism classes of countable MV-algebras, arising in the area of many-valued logic.
