Following \textit{H. Khosravian-Arab} et al. [Numer. Algorithms 77, No. 1, 111--150 (2018; Zbl 1388.41002)], the authors introduce Durrmeyer type operators of order I, order II respectively order III, which have better features than the classical Durrmeyer operators. Some results concerning the rate of convergence and asymptotic formulas are established, and some numerical examples are given to illustrate the theoretical results for the new operators.
