Let \(\Pi\) be the upper half-plane in \(\mathbb{C}\). The \(n\)-poly-Bergman space \(\mathcal{A}^2_n(\Pi)\) is defined as the closed subspace of \(L_2(\Pi)\) which consists of all functions satisfying the equation \((\partial /\partial\overline{z})^nf=0\). The authors study the \(C^*\)-algebra generated by Toeplitz operators with vertical symbols acting on \(\mathcal{A}^2_n(\Pi)\). By vertical symbols the authors mean \(L_{\infty}\)-functions on \(\Pi\) that depend only on \(y=\mathrm{Im}\,z\) and have limit values at \(y = 0, +\infty\). The main result of the paper states that the above algebra, previously isometrically described by the authors, can by generated just by \(4n-2\) Toeplitz operators with specific vertical symbols. Another point of view to this algebra, developed in the paper, is the algebra generated by Toeplitz operators with vertical symbols but acting on the wavelet space \(A^+_{n-1} \subset L_2(\Pi,d\mu)\). Toeplitz operators acting on the poly-wavelet spaces on \(\Pi^n\) are also considered.
