For various classes of planar strictly convex bodies the author gives lower and upper bounds on the isoperimetric deficit of the body, i.e., on \(L^2-4\pi A\), where \(L\) is the perimeter and \(A\) denotes the area of the body. The bounds depend on different quantities of the body, as, e.g., the associated pedal curve or the Wigner caustic of the boundary curve.
