Suppose that \( M\) is a smooth compact boundaryless oriented Riemannian manifold of dimension \( m\ge 2\) without any global nontrivial Killing vector field. Fix a Lipschitz domain \( \Omega_+=\Omega \subset M\) such that \( \Omega_-:=M\setminus \overline \Omega \) is a connected non-empty set. Let \( d\) and \( \delta \) be the exterior derivative and co-derivative operators. Let \( \nabla \) and \( \mathrm{Def} \) be the Levi-Civita connection and deformation operators. Let \( \mu ,\alpha \in L^\infty (M)\). Suppose that there exist some positive constants \( C_\alpha \), \( C_\mu \) such that \( C_\mu^{-1}\le \mu (x)\le C_\mu \) and \( C_\alpha^{-1}\le \alpha (x)\le C_\alpha \). The paper studies boundary value problems for the Brinkman system \( \mathrm{Def}^* (2\mu \mathrm{Def} (u))+\alpha u+d\pi =f\), \( \delta u=0\), and for the Darcy-Forchheimer-Brinkman system \( \mathrm{Def}^* (2\mu \mathrm{Def} (u))+\alpha u+\nabla_u u+\kappa |u|u+d\pi =f\), \( \delta u=0\). The Neumann problem for the Brinkman system is studied in the space \( H^1(\Omega )\times L^2(\Omega )\). The Dirichlet problem and the mixed problem for the Brinkman system and for the Darcy-Forchheimer-Brinkman system are treated in the same space. The authors also discuss the transmission problem for the Brinkman system and for the Darcy-Forchheimer-Brinkman system in the space \( [H^1(\Omega_+)\cup H^1(\Omega_-)]\times L^2(M)\).
