Based on a singular perturbation theorem by \textit{T. G. Kurtz} [Houston J. Math. 3, 67--82 (1977; Zbl 0361.34048)] for semigroups, in this article the fast diffusion limit is determined for different examples, namely a model for kinase activity [\textit{E. Crooks} et al., SIAM J. Appl. Math. 73, No. 1, 374--400 (2013; Zbl 1270.35080); \textit{B. Kaźmierczak} and \textit{T. Lipniacki}, ``Regulation of kinase activity by diffusion and feedback'', J. Theo. Biol. 259, 291--296 (2009)], another model for early lung-cancer [\textit{A. Marciniak-Czochra} and \textit{M. Kimmel}, Math. Models Methods Appl. Sci. 17, 1693--1719 (2007; Zbl 1135.92019); Math. Model. Nat. Phenom. 3, No. 7, 90--114 (2008; Zbl 1337.92047)], and in the example by \textit{R. Z. Khas'minskiĭ} [Theory Probab. Appl. 8, 1--21 (1963); translation from Teor. Veroyatn. Primen. 8, 3--25 (1963; Zbl 0211.20701)].
