New \(2\times 2\)-matrix linear problems for the Painlevé equations III, V (Q2351044)

In [Lett. Math. Phys. 67, No. 2, 153--165 (2004; Zbl 1053.34083)], \textit{A. Zotov} constructed a \(2\times 2\) Lax pair with spectral parameter for the Painlevé \(VI\) equation in the elliptic form. In the present paper the authors use this Lax pair to obtain Lax pairs for other Painlevé equations by means of the degeneration process. Essentially this procedure is based on the fact that all Painlevé equations are degenerations of the most difficult Painlevé \(VI\) equation.
