The paper is devoted to the development of a class of numerical methods for solving Fredholm-type integral equations on two-dimensional surfaces embedded in the three-dimensional Euclidean space. Specifically, the authors consider certain optimally superconvergent quasi-interpolating splines. The grid underlying these splines is a uniform triangulation of the fundamental domain. Based on these operators, they then construct three different types of collocation methods for the integral equation in question. For these approaches, the authors present both semi-discrete and fully discrete versions and provide an error analysis.
