    This work highlights the recent progress in the formulation of supersymmetric quantum field theories on curved spaces and in equivariant localization applied to supersymmetric path integrals in order to provide a direct computation of equivariant Donaldson polynomials for compact toric surfaces. The paper contains the partition function of \(\mathcal{N}=2\) gauge theory on a complex toric surface \(X\). Then, the special case \(X=\mathbb{P}^{2}\) is studied. Moreover, some preliminary results are presented for \(\mathbb{P}^{1}\times \mathbb{P}^{1}\).
