We obtain limit theorems for best approximations in a fairly general setting. We consider two types of limit theorems: those for individual elements and those for classes of elements. The first of them refers to relations of the form \[ \lim_{n\to \infty} E(h_ n, B_ n, F_ n)=E(f,B,F),\tag{1} \] where \(E(g,H,M)\) is the best approximation of an element \(g\) by elements from \(H\) in the metric of a normed space \(M\); while the second refers to relations of the form \[ \lim_{n\to\infty}\sup_{h_ n\in K_ n} E(h_ n,B_ n,F_ n)=\sup_{f\in K} E(f,B,F),\tag{2} \] where \(K\) and \(K_ n\), \(n=1,2,\dots,\) are certain classes of elements.
