Uno's invariant conjecture for Chevalley groups \(G_2(q)\) in nondefining characteristics. (Q2370263)

In this paper Uno's invariant conjecture for \(G_2(q)\) is demonstrated in the modular representation theory characteristic \(r\) when \(r\) is distinct from the defining characteristic of \(G_2(q)\). Thus the Dade invariant and the Isaacs-Navarro reductive conjectures both hold for \(G_2(q)\) in the non-defining characteristic. Section 2 of this paper states the three conjectures mentioned above and the remainder of the paper is devoted to proving Uno's conjecture in this case.
