      The existence of fixed points of multivalued nonexpansive mappings is considered. This problem goes back to \textit{S.\,B.\thinspace Nadler} [Pac.\ J.\ Math.\ 30, 475--488 (1969; Zbl 0187.45002)] who extended the well-known Banach contraction principle to multivalued strict contractions in complete metric spaces. From then on, many fixed point theorems for multivalued nonexpansive mappings have been proved. In the paper under review, two sufficient conditions for the so-called Domínguez--Lorenzo condition are given in terms of the James constant, the Jordan--von Neumann constant and the weak orthogonality coefficient. Applying these results, two fixed point theorems for multivalued nonexpansive mappings are obtained.
