In the present paper, the authors show that the linear almost periodic differential equation \[ x'=A(t)x +f(t) \] admits a unique almost automorphic solution, if it has at least one bounded solution and the bounded solutions of the homogeneous equation \[ x'=A(t)x \] are homoclinic to zero. There have been some examples in the literature to show that there is no almost periodic solution, if there is no Favard's separation condition. Other cases are also discussed in this paper, e.g. the Levitan almost periodic coefficients \(A(t),f(t)\), linear difference equations. The approach is to use skew-product dynamical systems and comparability of motions by the character of recurrence in the sense of Shcherbakov.
